But senior center Loucineh Mansourian has finally found her game, first-year Coach Nate Schleifer said.

“She’s really come into her own this season,” Schleifer said. “She’s learned to assert herself on the court, and that’s good to see because she’ll take something positive away from the experience.”

Mansourian, the Wolves tallest player at 5-10, averages 13.9 rebounds. Last week, she had 14 rebounds against Sylmar and 20 against Reseda.

The Chatsworth girls’ team (17-4, 8-0) takes a nine-game winning streak into its West Valley League game today against Taft.

That’s quite a turnaround from two seasons ago, when the Chancellors were 5-17, including a last-place league record of 1-9.

This is Chatsworth’s best season since 1995-96, when the Chancellors were 20-7 and won the North Valley League title.
