In other Division I-AA boys’ basketball:

Capistrano Valley 60, Fountain Valley 46--Matt Sweany scored nine of his 22 points in the opening quarter as Capistrano Valley (18-9) built a 17-4 lead. Sweany then had nine more in the third quarter as the Cougars outscored visiting Fountain Valley, 17-11.

The Barons finish 14-13. Century 45, Saddleback 32--Chris Ferretti had 23 points and 10 rebounds for visiting Century (11-16).

Ismael Isias led Saddleback (6-19) with 12 points.

The Centurions will be at top-seeded Long Beach Poly Friday night in the second round.

Downey 69, Santa Ana 67--Rene Herrera of Downey (19-8) scored off of a turnover with one second left in the game.

Joe Frias led Downey with 30 points, including five, three-pointers.

Santa Ana (12-14) trailed by 13 in the second quarter but rallied as Darnell Graham scored 12 of his 24 points in the third quarter to help bring the Saints within within one point to start the fourth quarter.

Santa Ana had a three point lead with less than two minutes to play.

Esperanza 68, Fontana Miller 56--Lloyd Walls scored eight of his 18 points in the first half, despite picking up three fouls, to help Esperanza to a 17-point lead.

Mark Lovein scored 12 points, including 10 in the first half, and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Aztecs (15-12), who play at El Toro Friday.

Daryl Pegram scored 18 points for Miller (12-14).

Long Beach Jordan 87, Santa Ana Valley 49--Alex Landa scored 22 points and Alex Cervantes had 10 for visiting Santa Ana Valley (10-15).
