Kralich Does It All for Santa Ana

Wendi Kralich hit a two-out, two-run single in the top of the eighth inning to help Santa Ana defeat Golden West, 2-0, in an Orange Empire Conference softball game at Golden West Friday.
Kralich also pitched a three-hit shutout for Santa Ana (7-4, 1-0 in conference).
Golden West is 5-5, 0-1.
In nonconference baseball:
Cypress 11, El Camino 8--Ray Aguilar struck out five in five innings and did not give up an earned run and Ben Francisco hit a three-run home run for host Cypress (11-0).
In OEC men’s golf:
Golden West 373, Palomar 388, Santiago Canyon 399, Cypress 408--Medalist Jeff Greenfield of Golden West (4-0) shot two-under 70 at El Prado.
In OEC men’s volleyball:
Irvine Valley 3, Palomar 1--Jason Donovan had 24 kills for the visiting Lasers (1-1, 1-1), who won, 15-13, 14-16, 15-13, 15-4.
