Borges, Wall Will Be Back

Cal State Northridge football assistants Keith Borges and Craig Wall, who last month filed a $6 million claim against the university, alleging they were wrongfully removed from the coaching staff last season, have signed new contracts and are expected to return next season.

Borges, running backs coach, and Wall, defensive coordinator, were reassigned to noncoaching positions by Athletic Director Dick Dull after the findings of an internal investigation that led to the firing of former coach Ron Ponciano.

The coaches were offered their jobs back in November, and signed one-year contracts last week, Dull said. Their duties will be determined by Coach Jeff Kearin, who declined comment.
