Maybe Cal State Fullerton should play all its games in UC Irvine’s Bren Center. The Titans, after all, have made themselves at home there.

Of course, maybe it’s not the arena. Maybe it’s the opponent.

The Titans trounced the Anteaters on Wednesday, 76-64, in front of 1,661. It was Fullerton’s eighth victory in nine games in the Bren Center.

Josh Fischer had 19 points and 11 rebounds, both career highs. Kenroy Jarrett scored 15, Mark Murphy 13 and Ike Harmon 13, to go with a career-high 14 rebounds.

Fullerton (8-8, 3-2 in Big West) started the game with a 10-0 run. Irvine (8-8, 1-4) didn’t score until Marek Ondera made a three-point basket four minutes into the game.

Ondera finished with a career-high 24 points, making 10 of 12 shots. The rest of the team had 13 field goals.

The Anteaters’ highlight? At least they didn’t blow a 17-point lead, as they did Saturday in a 53-52 loss to Boise State.

“We didn’t respond to the challenge,” Coach Pat Douglass said. “When you lose a tough game, like we did Saturday, you have to respond. We came out like we were feeling sorry for ourselves. It was like, ‘Oh, we lost a tough game and we’re not going to play.’ ”
