* Linebacker Jordan Lampos of Westlake, The Times’ Ventura County defensive player of the year, has committed to Idaho.

Linebacker Ben Lorier of Westlake has committed to Cal State Northridge.

* Channel Islands has chosen Pat Bell as coach. Bell also is girls’ basketball coach.
