Jackie Kolesar, leading scorer for the Paraclete girls’ team, has been bothered by a hip pointer and was supposed to sit out a nonleague game against Pacific Hills on Tuesday.
Instead, she scored 21 points and had eight rebounds in the Spirits’ 61-55 victory.
As long as her hip holds up, Kolesar is expected to play Saturday against Village Christian in an Alpha League game that could put Paraclete (15-5, 4-0 in league play) in firm control of the league race.
“We’ll need her,” said Coach Susan Hervey of Paraclete. “Hopefully she’s ready to go.”
The Spirits lead Village Christian (9-11, 3-1) by a game in the standings.
