Ventura 52, San Marcos 39--Alex Gientke scored 16 points for the Cougars in a Channel League victory at Ventura.

Kristine Gleisberg of Ventura, who is averaging 13.9 points, played only four minutes because of stomach flu.

Gleisberg is expected to play for Ventura (19-1, 4-1), ranked No. 2 in the region by The Times, on Saturday against Santa Margarita.

Buena 69, Rio Mesa 43--Kelly Greathouse scored 20 points and the Bulldogs coasted to a nonleague victory at Buena.

Courtney LaVere had 17 points and seven rebounds, and Courtney Young had 15 points and five assists for the Bulldogs (17-4), ranked No. 1 in the region.

Harvard-Westlake 71, Louisville 34--L’Tanya Robnett scored 20 of her 22 points in the first half of a Mission League victory at Louisville.

Chantal Kazay, a former player for Louisville, scored 10 points for Harvard-Westlake (16-6, 5-1), ranked No. 4 in the region.

Notre Dame 68, Chaminade 43--Sierra Hauser-Price scored 19 of her 33 points in the third quarter for the No. 8 Knights in a Mission League game at Notre Dame.

Hauser-Price made 12 of 18 shots for Notre Dame (13-6, 4-2). Julie Cichon and Cynthia Lai each had 14 points for Chaminade (9-9, 2-4).

Quartz Hill 58, Littlerock 57--Kristen Robinson missed a free throw that would have completed a three-point play with 11 seconds left and the Rebels escaped with a Golden League victory at Littlerock.

Robinson scored 18 points, including six of eight free throws for Littlerock (15-7, 4-2).

Sharonne Herbert had 21 points for the Rebels (14-6, 4-2).
