Lancaster Gets Past Lake Elsinore, 5-3

Juan Silvestre had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for the Lancaster JetHawks in a 5-3 victory over Lake Elsinore on Friday night in front of 3,661 at The Hangar in Lancaster.

Craig Kuzmic and Willie Bloomquist each had two hits and one run batted in for Lancaster (2-0).

Jeff Heaverlo (6-3) allowed three earned runs on eight hits in seven innings. Heaverlo struck out five with no walks.
