Westlake 5, Agoura 0--Erin Voeltz pitched a three-hitter, struck out 10 and recorded her second shutout in a Marmonte League opener at Westlake.

Tiffany Meadows had a double, single and two runs batted in, and Kaitlyn Wilson had two hits and an RBI for the Warriors (3-3).

Newbury Park 2, Royal 1--Oli Keohohou had a double and a triple for Newbury Park (5-0, 1-0), ranked No. 2, in a Marmonte League game at Borchard Park.

Canyon 5, Highland 3--Briana Trudeau had a bases-loaded infield single that gave Canyon a 4-1 lead in the sixth inning and the Cowboys (4-2) upset Highland (3-3), the No. 5-ranked team in the Times’ regional poll, in a nonleague game at Canyon.

Canyon scored four runs on two hits, two walks and two fielder’s choices in the sixth to break a 1-1 tie. Aimee Nava singled to put the Cowboys ahead for good, 2-1.

Shiloh Klein (4-0) allowed eight hits, struck out four and walked three in a complete game.

Rio Mesa 12, Oxnard 0--Canel Tripp pitched a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts and four walks for Rio Mesa (4-2-1, 1-0) in a Pacific View League game at Oxnard (0-5, 0-1).

Sylmar 24, Poly 0--Vanessa Lira (4-1) pitched a no-hitter and struck out eight in a nonleague game at Sylmar that was called after 5 1/2 innings because of the 10-run rule.

Rules stipulate a game be called after five innings if a team is trailing by 10 runs or more, but Poly wanted to play an extra half inning.

Reseda 6, Belmont 3--Annette Gutierrez had three hits, including a two-run double, and three runs batted in, for the Regents (2-1) in a nonleague game.

Belmont is 3-1.

Valencia 3, Moorpark 0--Lauren Watson had an RBI single in the sixth inning for the Vikings (5-1) in a nonleague victory at Valencia.

Louisville 1, St. Bonaventure 0--Jessica Kirby singled in Christine Jordt with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Royals a nonleague victory at Louisville.

Jennifer Valenzuela gave up six hits and had 10 strikeouts for Louisville (3-2).
