Saddleback 4, Riverside 3 (10)--Saddleback pinch-hitter Jud Richards hit a bases-loaded single with none out in the bottom of the 10th to score Jerry Alesia.

Gaucho reliever Beau Kemp (2-0) went 2 2/3 innings to pick up the victory and Vinny Valiente had two hits for Saddleback (14-5-1, 4-4-1).

It was the third loss in four games for Riverside (17-4-1, 6-3).

Santa Ana 10, Orange Coast 7--Jason Welch had four hits, including his third home run of the week, for first-place Santa Ana (18-1-2, 7-1-1). He also drove in two runs.

At the Cuesta swimming invitational:

Golden West wins two titles--Christian Harcsas won the 100-yard backstroke (50.38) and the 200 individual medley (1:56.34) for the Rustler men in the final day of competition. The Golden West men’s team finished first with 711 points, sweeping all five relays.

The Rustler women won with 669 points. Alyson Edoff led Golden West with victories in the 200 freestyle (1:54.84) and the 500 freestyle (5:06.86).
