Ball enjoyed a huge week, defeating University’s top three singles players--including nationally

Mak--en route to the Pacific Coast
League
singles title. Ball has been bothered by thumb and hamstring injuries but is finally getting healthy, Coach Tim Mang said. Ball beat second-seeded Nicholas Weiss of Calabasas in the interscholastic division of the Ojai tournament last week.

Shot par 144 for 36 holes at Western Hills to win the Serra League individual championship.

Hit three home runs, including a grand slam, to help the Eagles win two games against Mater Dei.
Allison Lewis
Northwood, Softball
It is only the first season of competition for the TimberWolves, but Northwood clinched a league
championship last week with Lewis’
pitching
leading the way. She threw a two-hitter with 17
strikeouts to improve to 10-2, in a 7-0 victory over Corona del Mar. She followed up that dominating performance by giving up only four hits to Costa Mesa and striking out 16 in a 3-1 victory. Northwood improved to 14-2, 8-0 in league.

Won the 50 and 100 freestyles and anchored the winning 200 freestyle relay team at Serra League finals.

Woodbridge, Track and Field
Won long jump, triple jump, 100 and 200 at Sea View League finals and set meet records in the long and triple jumps.
