In the Century League:

No. 1 Villa Park 7, Santa Ana Valley 1--Brandon Averill struck out 10 in six innings for the visiting Spartans, who collected 12 hits.

In the Freeway League:

La Habra 11, Buena Park 7--Al Estrada had two doubles, a triple and four RBIs for the Highlanders (16-8, 9-5), who clinched at least a tie for first place in league.

In the Garden Grove League:

No. 2 La Quinta 14, Los Amigos 3 (5, mercy)--Arnulfo Arroyo had four hits and six RBIs for the visiting Aztecs.

Bolsa Grande 9, Garden Grove 1--The host Matadors (12-13, 6-5) clinched a spot in the playoffs with the victory. In the Olympic League:

Calvary Chapel 7, Orange Lutheran 1--Kyle Christensen pitched a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts for the visiting Eagles (17-7, 11-3). Christensen, who came into the game tied for the county lead in wins with 12, picked up his 13th victory. He lost the shutout when Calvary Chapel committed two errors in the fourth inning, leading to an unearned run.

Whittier Christian 14, Cerritos Valley Christian 3 (6, mercy)--Peter Eberhardt hit a grand slam and Gary Alexander added a three-run homer to lift the Heralds (14-8, 10-4) at Whittier Christian. Everhardt’s homer was his ninth of the season.

In the Sea View League:

No. 5 Irvine 5, Woodbridge 4 (8)--David Parker singled to score Travis Otott in the bottom of the eighth inning to win it for host Irvine.

Aliso Niguel 12, Newport Harbor 3--Adam Tanos and Kyle Mowery each had three hits and combined for five RBIs to lead host Aliso Niguel (10-14, 7-8), which clinched third place in league.

In the South Coast League:

El Toro 9, Dana Hills 2--Grant Plumley hit his ninth home run of the season to lead visiting El Toro (13-11-1, 7-7) to the victory and keep its playoff hopes alive.

Mission Viejo 9, San Clemente 0--John Hudgins (10-1) pitched a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts for the host Diablos (14-9, 8-6). Hudgins leads the county with 121 strikeouts.

In the Sunset League:

No. 4 Esperanza 11, No. 6 Fountain Valley 5--The host Aztecs (19-6, 10-4) broke open a one-run game with a seven-run fourth.
