City Section prelims--Amy Jones of Cleveland set records in two events for the second consecutive year at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach.

Jones, a junior who set City records in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events last year, established marks of 58.34 seconds in the 100 butterfly and 1:51.23 in the 200 freestyle.

Jennifer Ward of Granada Hills had the top qualifying times in the 50 and 100 freestyle events.

Brian Brown of El Camino Real came close to City boys’ records in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke.
