The eight home runs by Trabuco Hills was one short of the county record for home runs in a game held by Canyon (1994) and Santa Margarita (1997). Sirbu went five for five and Boatright and Brizendine had three RBIs each.

“I’ve never been involved in a game like this in my career,” Trabuco Hills Coach Tim Ellis said.

Kyle Allen (7-4) went the final 3 1/3 innings to pick up the victory. Allen has won all three games in the playoffs for Trabuco Hills (20-9). The Mustangs play La Mirada, a 6-5 winner over Palmdale, in the semifinal Friday at Trabuco Hills.
