Hart 34, Canyon 0--Kyle Matter completed 25 of 48 passes for 372 yards and four touchdowns at Canyon as the Indians won their 46th consecutive league game.

Hart (8-1, 4-0) hasn’t lost a league game since 1990 and has won nine consecutive over Canyon (4-5, 1-3).

Matter threw a 79-yard touchdown pass to Julian Lewis on Hart’s second play from scrimmage and added scoring strikes of 27 and 21 yards to Kevin Donoho that gave the Indians a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter.

Josh Christensen blocked a punt by Cam Robinson and Evan Allen returned it 17 yards for a touchdown that increased Hart’s lead to 28-0 midway through the second quarter.

Mickey Mercado caught five passes for 90 yards for Hart, which had 19 first downs and out-gained Canyon, 405 yards to 170.

Cole Cannon intercepted a pass by Vince Titiriga in the end zone with 46 seconds remaining to preserve the shutout.
