Pringle, Allen Nominated for CFL Award
Former Cal State Fullerton players Mike Pringle and Damon Allen are among the nominees for the most outstanding player award in the Canadian Football League this season.
Pringle, a running back for the Montreal Alouettes, leads the CFL in rushing with 1,732 yards. He won the award with Baltimore in 1995 and Montreal in ’98.
Allen, a quarterback with British Columbia, is the CFL’s all-time leading passer. He leads the league with 4,757 yards this season.
* The Estancia-Laguna Beach Pacific Coast League varsity football game has been moved from Friday to Thursday at 7 p.m. at Laguna Beach High, Laguna Beach Coach Dave Holland said.
