Cal State Northridge will host a basketball doubleheader tonight, with the women’s team playing Cal State Fullerton at 5 and the men taking on Cal Poly Pomona at 7.

The Matador men (2-1), coming off an historic week that included a 78-74 victory at UCLA, will face local products Nathan Sinning and David Erickson of Pomona.

Sinning, a 6-4 senior guard, is a 1996 graduate of Crescenta Valley High and a Times’ All-Valley selection that season. Sinning had a school-record nine three-point baskets in a game as a senior.

Sinning was selected player of the week in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. after getting 15 points and nine rebounds in a 81-63 victory over Hope International.

Erickson, a 6-11 sophomore center, averaged 6.9 rebounds as a senior at Newbury Park in 1997.

Raudel De La Riva, a 6-8 middle blocker and outside hitter from Roosevelt High, has signed with the Cal State Northridge men’s volleyball team for the 2002 season.

De La Riva has started three years for Roosevelt and is expected to graduate in June.
