Southwestern 30, Antelope Valley 10--DeAndra Cobb rushed for 78 yards in 20 carries and a touchdown in the Marauders’ Foothill Conference loss at Antelope Valley College.

Cobb scored on a one-yard run that capped a 14-play, 78-yard drive and pulled Antelope Valley (2-4, 1-3) to within 17-10 with 11:23 remaining. David Newton kept the drive alive with a seven-yard run on a fake punt that gave the Marauders a first down at the Southwestern 33.

Jamar Culver completed 11 of 17 passes for 113 yards and starter Cory Allred completed six of 13 for 61 yards for Antelope Valley, which was out-gained 290 yards to 253.

Jerome Wright caught three passes for 49 yards and Steven Sedlacek added four catches for 44 yards for Antelope Valley.

Chris Starling of Antelope Valley kicked a 23-yard field goal to tie the score, 3-3, early in the second quarter. Cobb set up the score with a 22-yard run.
