No. 5 Villa Park 9, Esperanza 9 (Villa Park wins on games, 77-74)--Lindsey Nelson and Arti Iyer swept in singles for visiting Villa Park (1-0), accounting for 37 of the Spartans’ points.

Nelson won, 6-3, 6-0, 6-0 and Iyer won, 7-5, 6-2, 6-0.
