Though Orange Lutheran lost to Newport Harbor, 14-7, last week, the Lancers have had success lately against Troy. They have defeated the Warriors three consecutive times, including a 50-21 trouncing last season. However, that Orange Lutheran team included The Times’ Orange County back of the year, quarterback Jason Whieldon. This year’s squad will face the Warriors minus three injured starters. “Troy has one of the best teams it has had in some time,” Lancer Coach Jim Kunau said. The Warriors showcased their strong backfield in a 50-20 victory over Katella last week.
