San Luis Obispo 34, Oxnard 12--Jason Parker scored on a 46-yard run and an 85-yard punt return for host Oxnard.
Parker’s first touchdown on a reverse tied the score, 6-6, midway through the first quarter. San Luis Obispo (1-1) took a 13-7 halftime lead on a 13-yard pass from Dan Johnston to Dylan Morris.
Oxnard (1-1) wasted a chance to pull even after recovering a fumble at the San Luis Obispo 21-yard line, but Tim Eglin’s pass intended for Parker fell incomplete as the half expired.
