After scoring nine points in the first six quarters this season, Moorpark College got 26 points in the second half and beat West L.A., 29-6, at West L.A. College.
Ray Carmel rushed for 186 yards in 28 carries and scored on third-quarter runs of 10 and 68 yards. Carmel rushed for 155 yards in the second half.
Moorpark held West L.A. (1-1) to 294 total yards and forced three turnovers.
Shawn Nakamura made field goals of 42 and 34 yards, the first giving Moorpark (1-1) a 3-0 halftime lead.
John Howe scored on a five-yard run for the final touchdown. Moorpark had 263 rushing yards.
