Freshman quarterback Philip Rivers rallied undefeated North Carolina State by throwing three touchdown passes to Koren Robinson in a 30-23 overtime victory over Georgia Tech on Thursday night at Raleigh N.C.

The comeback by Rivers was the third in four games as the Wolfpack won its Atlantic Coast Conference opener and improved to 4-0 for the first time since 1994.

“Just think what this youngster can do, not only for this year, but for this program for the next four years to help us get somewhere, “ Wolfpack Coach Chuck Amato said.
