In other Foothill tournament games:

No. 1 Foothill 8, West Hills Chaminade 0--Elizabeth Bendig pitched a no-hitter in six innings and had two hits for the Knights (12-1). Autumn Champion had three hits, two stolen bases and scored three runs.

No. 9 Mater Dei 3, Aliso Niguel 2 (8)--Sharee Zaleski drove in the winning run and Riki Paredes (1-1) picked up the win for the Monarchs (10-6). Mater Dei lost its second game to No. 10 Los Alamitos, 5-4. The Griffins (5-8) scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to overcome a 4-2 deficit.

No. 4 Pacifica 6, No. 10 Los Alamitos 5 (10)--Jaime Waldecker homered with two outs in the bottom of the 10th to give the Mariners (4-2) their second victory in the tournament. Pacifica (5-2) also defeated Aliso Niguel, 4-0.

In nonleague games:

No. 6 Esperanza 5, No. 2 Canyon 0--Kristen Dedmon pitched a two-hit shutout with seven strikeouts for Esperanza (10-2).

Troy 1-0, No. 8 Rosary 0-4--In the first game, Troy’s Nikki Shepard led off with a double in the eighth inning and scored on a throwing error. Pitcher Emily Hively struck out 11 for the Warriors (10-4). In the second game, Rosary’s Kelly Schaefer had three hits and scored twice for the Royals (8-6).

In Serra League baseball:

No. 1 Mater Dei 14, Bellflower St. John Bosco 7--C.J. Cook, who was four for six, singled in two runs, and Richard Mercado hit a three-run homer in a seven-run fifth inning for the Monarchs (11-1, 4-1).

Santa Margarita 11, Servite 2--Chris Malec homered twice and drove in four runs and Matt Wilkerson hit a second-inning grand slam for the host Eagles (6-6, 4-1). Servite is 3-7, 0-4.
