Chatsworth 6, Birmingham 5--Brian Lee’s three hits and four runs batted in helped the Chancellors rally from a 5-0 deficit in a West Valley League victory at Chatsworth.

Chatsworth (23-0, 9-0), ranked No. 3 in the nation by Baseball America, is one victory away from tying the school record for consecutive victories.

Birmingham (16-8, 5-4) led, 5-0, after Lucio Tapia’s two-run home run in the second inning. But Joe Guntz (9-0) shut out the Patriots over the final four innings.

Lee’s run-scoring triple with two out in the sixth tied the score, 5-5, and Gregg Wallis followed with a run-scoring single.

Calabasas 2, Santa Paula 1--Kyle Rudow doubled in the winning run in the seventh for the Coyotes in a Frontier League game at Calabasas.

Justin Segal (6-1) threw only 89 pitches, allowed five hits, struck out seven and walked two for Calabasas (15-5, 8-0).

Granada Hills 9, Cleveland 6--Eddie Degerman (5-2) had four RBIs, went the distance and allowed two earned runs for the Highlanders against Cleveland (16-7, 4-5) in a West Valley League game at Granada Hills.

Degerman and Mike Seiser each hit two doubles and Derek Kinzler had two hits for Granada Hills (14-8, 5-4).

Hart 14, Burbank 1--Chris Burrows pitched a two-hitter and struck out six in a Foothill League game called after five innings because of the 10-run rule at Burbank.

Mike Miller went three for three with five RBIs for Hart (20-1, 9-1).

El Camino Real 15, Taft 1--Greg Acheatel (5-4) threw a four-hitter and struck out six for the Conquistadores (10-10, 3-6) in a West Valley League game that was called after 4 1/2 innings because of the 10-run rule at El Camino Real.

Grant 8, Verdugo Hills 2--Jake Buttikofer and Chris Penta each had two each for the Cavaliers (13-8, 6-1) in a Sunset Six League victory at Grant.

Saugus 5, Canyon 0--The Centurions pinned Jake Coash (7-1) with his first loss in a Foothill League game at Saugus.

Rusty Coleman, Josh Fogel and Garner Humphrey each had two hits for Saugus (11-9, 5-5).

Hoover 5, Glendale 1--Tito Cruz and Sergio Garcia hit run-scoring doubles in the seventh and Max Hibbs (4-3) struck out 12 and pitched a two-hitter for Hoover (8-10, 5-5) in a Pacific League game at Glendale.

Chaminade 2, Harvard-Westlake 1--Bobby Paschal’s run-scoring single in the ninth gave the Eagles (17-3, 8-0) a Mission League victory at Chaminade.

Paschal pitched eight innings, scattered five hits and struck out 10. Sean Clark (5-2) threw a scoreless ninth.

Montclair Prep 28, Whitney 1--Brian Trump had five hits, including two home runs, and eight RBIs for the Mounties (9-7, 3-1) in a Delphic League game at Montclair Prep.

Valencia 10, Burroughs 7--Joey Morelli had two hits and drove in two runs, and the Vikings overcame the Indians’ seven-run third to win a Foothill League game at Valencia.

Jimmy Rohan had two hits, scored three runs and knocked in two for the Vikings (10-9, 5-5).

Nordhoff 14, Bishop Diego 2--Joey Mele had two hits and six RBIs in the sixth inning of anonleague game called after six innings because of the 10-run rule at Nordhoff.

Mele’s three-run double gave Nordhoff (9-6-1) a 9-2 lead and he added a three-run home run.

Campbell Hall 3, Crossroads 0--Matt Kaplan (4-5) pitched a four-hitter and Dan Peters drove in two runs for the Vikings (10-6, 5-0) in a Delphic League game at Clover Park in Santa Monica.

Buckley 10, Windward 9--Colin Ward-Henninger hit his first home run of the season and had four RBIs for the Griffins (10-1, 6-1) in a Liberty League victory at Windward.

Crespi 6, Notre Dame 1--Dale Legaspi limited Notre Dame (7-11-1, 2-4-1) to four hits in 6 2/3 innings to lift the Celts (11-8, 6-3) to a Mission League victory at Birmingham.
