The pedestrian, whose name was being withheld until his family could be notified, was leaving a Burger King at 9:21 p.m. and was headed to the Inn at Costa Mesa where he was staying. As he crossed in front of oncoming southbound traffic on Harbor Boulevard south of Gisler Street, he was struck by a car driven by Kay Grim, 64, of Costa Mesa. A few seconds later he was struck by a van driven by Earl Willis, 76, also of Costa Mesa.
