Duda Reaches Milestone

Los Alamitos High junior forward Stephanie Duda scored the 1,000th point of her career Monday, leading the Griffins to a 63-45 victory over Dana Point Dana Hills in a pool play game of the Fountain Valley girls’ basketball tournament.
Duda scored 31 points to lead Los Alamitos (2-1).
No. 8 Brea Olinda 65, Ontario 30--Lauren Pedersen had 13 points for Brea Olinda (1-0) in the first round of the Ladycat Classic.
In boys’ basketball:
No. 11 Rialto Eisenhower 73, Colton 43--Sean Marshall scored 22 points to lead Eisenhower in a pool play game of the Palm Desert-Cathedral City tournament.
Hacienda Heights Los Altos 74, La Puente Nogales 73--Anthony Garcia scored 27 points to lead Los Altos in overtime in a first-round game of the Arroyo tournament.
