Drive-By Shooting in Park Kills Woman

A drive-by shooting early Sunday in a Carson park left one woman dead, a sheriff’s deputy said.
Kathylyne Lutali Atuatasi, 27, was shot in the upper body with an assault-style rifle about 3 a.m. at Dolphin Park, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Enrique Varela.
Atuatasi was declared dead at the scene shortly after the shooting in the 21200 block of Water Street. Homicide detectives said Sunday they had not determined a motive for the shooting.
