In another Division I-A game:

Mater Dei 105, Canyon 77--Jamal Sampson had 27 points and 20 rebounds and Cedric Bozeman had 21 points and 10 rebounds for top-seeded Mater Dei (27-2), which led, 59-20, at halftime. The Monarchs will play Claremont in the semifinals Tuesday.

Derron Putnam had 23 points for Canyon, who attempted 46 three-pointers and made 13.

In Division I-AAA:

Capistrano Valley 64, Chino Hills Ayala 52--Pete DeCasas led host Capistrano Valley with 18 points. Jake Franzen scored 13 for the Cougars, who will face Rialto Eisenhower in the semifinals.

In Division I-AA:

El Toro 79, Murrieta Valley 67--Ashkan Nazeri had 26 points and eight assists and Matt Green had 25 points and 10 rebounds for top-seeded El Toro (26-2), which led, 40-31, at halftime. Chris Parish chipped in 17 points and Ken Tanaka had 10 points and seven assists for the Chargers, who play fourth-seeded Thousand Oaks in the semifinals.

Riverside North 70, San Clemente 60--Tim Burnette had 16 points and James Hartman had 15 for visiting San Clemente (18-9).

In Division II-AA:

Santa Margarita 72, Elsinore 51--Holding a four-point lead at halftime, host Santa Margarita (22-4) outscored Elsinore (17-11), 20-7, in the third quarter to seal the victory. R.J. Socci led the Eagles with 18 points. Travis Smith added 16 points, Lenny Collins 13 and Brandon Rohe 12 for Santa Margarita, which plays Inglewood in the semifinals.
