Harbor City Narbonne 82, Woodland Hills Taft 37--The defending champion Lady Gauchos began their blowout midway through the first quarter en route to a 44-11 halftime lead in a City semifinal at Los Angeles Southwest College.

Narbonne will play second-seeded Westchester in the final Saturday at the Forum.

Amber Pruitt scored 17 points, Wilnett Crockett 13 and Loree Moore 12 for Narbonne.

Schquay Brignac had nine points, Christina Aguinaga eight for Taft.

SOUTHERN SECTION GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Lynwood 69, Oxnard 41--Necel Woods scored 26 points for top-seeded Lynwood in a I-AAA semifinal at Warren High.

Lynwood led at halftime, 35-12.

San Clemente 57, Crescenta Valley 38--Megan Blackshire scored 19 points for top-seeded San Clemente, which outscored the Falcons, 29-9, during the second and third quarters in the I-AA quarterfinal at Crescenta Valley.

Irvine 55, El Toro 30--Ali Grechko of Irvine scored 19 points on eight-of-11 shooting, and had seven rebounds in the I-AA quarterfinal to lead Irvine to the semifinals for the first time.

Murrieta Valley 64, Chino Don Lugo 53--Rachel Woodward scored 22 points and Ashley Haggerty added 17 points for the Nighthawks in a I-AA quarterfinal at home.

Ventura Buena 64, Irvine Woodbridge 47--Courtney LaVere scored 29 points and had 10 rebounds to help the top-seeded Bulldogs win the I-A semifinal at Ventura High.

Kelly Greathouse finished with 16 points and Courtney Young had 12 for Buena, which is seeking its seventh section title.

Kelsi Sousa scored 12 points, Lara Gray had 10 and Kathryn Geneau added nine points for Woodbridge.

Torrance Bishop Montgomery 72, Inglewood Morningside 55--Noelle Quinn scored 21 points and Iris Dulay scored 15, including three three-pointers, in a III-AA semifinal at Redondo Union.

Bishop Montgomery outscored Morningside, 21-8, in the fourth quarter.

Juleen Smith scored 20 points, Donnisha Sanford 16 for Morningside.

Morro Bay 47, Santa Fe Springs St. Paul 30--Karena Bonds scored 18 points and had seven assists and Melisa Brookey had 16 points for Morro Bay, which used a 22-2 run in the second half to take control of the IV-AA semifinal at San Luis Obispo.

Van Nuys Montclair Prep 54, San Bernardino Aquinas 46--Eshaya Murphy scored 18 of her 22 points in the second half as the Mounties won a V-AA quarterfinal at home.

Santa Clara 57, Pasadena Poly 47--Ashley Biggins, a 6-foot-3 center, had 25 points and 16 rebounds to lead the host Saints to victory in a V-AA quarterfinal.

Rolling Hills Prep 93, Oaks Christian 79--Lauryn Stayton scored 33 points and had 12 rebounds and 10 assists for Rolling Hills Prep in a V-A semifinal victory at Westlake High.

Charmaine Jones added 26 points for Rolling Hills Prep.
