Northridge Suspends McCain

Share

Guard Marco McCain of Cal State Northridge has been suspended by Coach Bobby Braswell for violating “team academic standards” and will not travel with the Matadors for Thursday’s Big Sky Conference game at Northern Arizona.

Braswell declined to elaborate, except to say that McCain is not academically ineligible.

“He is indefinitely suspended until I feel he has corrected what he needs to correct,” Braswell said.

McCain, 6-foot-3 senior from Long Beach Jordan High, ranks fourth among the Matadors at seven points a game.
