Fullerton House Destroyed by Fire
Fire destroyed a home in the 1400 block of North Richman Knoll in Fullerton on Saturday.
Crews from the Fullerton, Brea and Anaheim fire departments and the Orange County Fire Authority spent more than an hour battling the blaze, which was reported shortly before 10:15 a.m. No injuries were reported, said Dave Duncan, a battalion chief with the Fullerton Fire Department.
Authorities believe the fire started in one of the bedrooms and quickly spread throughout the 2,500-square-foot house, Duncan said. Two people were home at the time--a minor and an adult caretaker who called 911 after seeing smoke inside the house. The loss was estimated at $500,000.
Investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the fire Saturday afternoon, but arson is not suspected, Duncan said.
