Running back Tiki Barber continued to wear a cast on his broken left arm during the Giants’ practice Monday.

“I haven’t practiced without it yet,” Barber said.

He hopes to be without it Sunday, but said “when push comes to shove, I’ll probably wear it.”

As for whether he’s wary of the Ravens’ hit squad after fines against linebacker Ray Lewis and Siragusa for injuring Tennessee’s Steve McNair and Oakland’s Rich Gannon the last two games, Barber smiled.

“I’m not a quarterback. It’s all been quarterbacks,” he said. “I don’t expect them to go after me. I expect them to play football.”

Barber hopes to resume returning punts after breaking his arm in December. If he’s fit, he’ll return them all, not share duty, he said.
