Three people were under arrest Tuesday after a drive-by shooting in South-Central Los Angeles that left one person dead, authorities said.

The shooting took place around 1:15 p.m. at the 4200 block of 28th Street, said Lt. Clay Farrell of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division.

“Undercover investigators were conducting an investigation into narcotics sales in that area,” when the shooting took place, Farrell said.
