Montclair Prep 5, Cerritos Valley Christian 0--Jessica Madick had a two-run double and a run-scoring single for host Montclair Prep in a first-round Division V game at Franklin Field.

Marissa Brassfield, who has allowed one earned run in 68 innings, pitched a three-hitter with two strikeouts, one hit batter and no walks.

St. Bonaventure 3, Downey Calvary Chapel 1--Dominique Burns and Carolina Zeremeno each had three hits in a first-round Division V game at Cerritos Sports Complex.

Shaye Cogan added a run-scoring double for the Seraphs (12-12).

Boys’ Tennis

Westlake 17, Placentia Valencia 1--Aaron Bert, at No. 1 singles, and Jackson Ellis and Alex Sundling, at No. 2 doubles, did not lose a game for Westlake (17-0) in its 38th consecutive victory at Valencia in a Division III second-round match.

Mira Costa 10, Burbank 8--Stanford-bound K.C. Corkery, ranked No. 1 in the nation in USTA Boys’ 18, swept at No. 1 singles and Ashton Politanoff swept at No. 3 singles for host Mira Costa (16-5). Corkery has won 30 USTA tournaments and won the Southern Section individual doubles title in 2000.

Musheg Rostamian and Ara Sarayan won two of three sets at No. 1 doubles for Burbank (15-2).

St. Bonaventure 12, Cate 6--John Vigorita, playing at No. 1 singles, did not lose a game in three sets, and the Seraphs swept all nine singles sets in a Division V second-round match at Cate.

Vigorita has won 39 of 42 sets for St. Bonaventure (14-2).
