In other Division II playoff openers:

Crescenta Valley 3, Palmdale 0--Meredith Cervenka (25-1) struck out 15 and pitched her fifth perfect game of the season and eighth of her career at Montrose Park.

Kaycee Crownover had an RBI single in the fourth inning for Crescenta Valley (26-1).

Thousand Oaks 2, Hueneme 0--Nicole Angelo (17-4) had a no-hitter through 6 2/3 innings and the Marmonte League-champion Lancers (22-5) made two runs in the second stand up at Thousand Oaks Community Center.

Jessica Olivas drove in the first run with a groundout and Taylor Cohen singled in Kaitlin McCandless.

Angelo, who finished with a one-hitter, struck out seven and walked none. Valerie Palmer had the hit for Hueneme (17-10-1).

Quartz Hill 5, Sultana 0--Kellie Cox (13-2) pitched a one-hitter with nine strikeouts and the Rebels (16-9) won their eighth straight at Quartz Hill.

Jennifer Curtier doubled and hit a solo homer for Quartz Hill.

Division I

Highland 4, Schurr 0--Nicole Rawson pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk in 10 innings for Highland (16-12) at Schurr. Tracy Nolte singled to score Shannon Doepking with the winning run.

Valencia 10, Glendale 0--Tori Rocco scattered six hits, striking out three, for the Vikings (24-4) at Valencia.

Jessica Robinson had two hits with three RBIs and Danyale Peterson had two hits with two RBIs.

Righetti 1, Camarillo 0--Melissa Samples (5-3) pitched a five-hitter filling in for Stephanie Byrne, who complained of a sore right arm warming up, for Camarillo (15-10-1) at Righetti (21-7).

Division III

Newbury Park 5, Atascadero 1--Robyn Wike homered, tripled and had four RBIs, and Katie Stokx pitched six scoreless innings in relief with seven strikeouts for visiting Newbury Park (19-10).

Division IV

Chaminade 1, Lompoc Cabrillo 0--Christina Lupacchini pitched a two-hitter for the top-seeded Eagles (16-8-1) at Chaminade Middle School.

Lupacchini (15-3) struck out 12 and walked one.

Notre Dame 6, Bishop Amat 1--The Knights (19-7) broke open a pitching duel with four runs in the fourth inning and Amanda De La Cerda (18-5) scattered four hits at Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park.

De La Cerda singled in Katie Sanfelippo, who opened the fourth with the game’s first hit, to give Notre Dame a 1-0 lead.

Megan Hayes followed with a squeeze to score Kristie Barraza. Cori Blanton delivered a two-out, two-run single.

La Canada 17, Gabrielino 0--Kelly Kalish pitched a no-hitter with seven strikeouts and no walks for the No. 2-seeded Spartans (23-2-1) at La Canada.

Lauren Guza, Kim Gilmour and Heather Fowlie each had three RBIs for La Canada.

Division VI

Oaks Christian 8, La Verne Lutheran 1--Ashlee Freeman pitched a two-hitter with 18 strikeouts and no walks for the host Lions (23-4-2). Katie Lorier and Becky Grinstead each drove in three runs.
