Hacienda Heights Los Altos 18, Montebello 14--Just when it appeared as if Los Altos’ reign atop Division VII was about to come to an end, Keith Brown made certain the two-time defending champions still had a shot a third consecutive title.

The senior scored two touchdowns in the last 4 minutes 28 seconds of the game to lift the Conquerers (10-2) to a quarterfinal victory over Montebello (10-2).

The game-winner came on a 28-yard sprint to the right corner of the end zone with 1:02 left. Brown finished with 160 yards in 21 carries and two touchdowns.

Rudy Cisneros, filling in for the injured David Montiel, led the Oilers down to Los Altos eight-yard line, but Lorenzo Dominguez’ intercepted in the end zone.
