Breakfast to Benefit Families of Firefighters
Ventura County residents interested in helping the families of firefighters killed in last month’s terrorist attacks in New York or those who want to pause and remember will have a chance to do so this weekend.
Ventura city firefighters will host a $5-per-person pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at Buena High School to benefit families of the firefighters who died. The school is at 5670 Telegraph Road.
Firefighters from across the county will gather at Plaza Park on Sunday afternoon in downtown Oxnard for a memorial service that will also kick off National Fire Prevention Week.
