Santa Ana Foothill 14, Newport Beach Newport Harbor 8--Alex Cripe scored five goals and Ian Elliott had seven saves, including one on a penalty shot from four meters in the fourth quarter, for Foothill in a nonleague game at Newport Harbor High.

It was a rematch of teams that met in last year’s Southern Section Division I final, won by Newport Harbor, 15-9. The Knights (13-6), fifth in The Times’ rankings, held a 7-5 lead at the half after eighth-ranked Newport Harbor (10-9) took a 2-1 lead.

Ross Sinclair and Michael Bury scored three goals each for Newport Harbor.
