Wooding Moves Into Contention at AJGA
Josh Wooding of Riverside shot the low round of the tournament with a five-under-par 66 on Thursday to move into a five-way tie for third place before today’s final round of the AJGA Boys’ National golf championship at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas.
Wooding is joined at four-under 210 by Seung Su Han of Chino Hills, who shot his second consecutive even-par round after opening play with a 68. Zack Miller of San Rafael shot his second 67 of the tournament and is at nine-under 206. Chanin Puntawong of Bradenton, Fla., is second at 209. Jay Choe of Yorba Linda is at 214 and Kenny Kim of Cerritos is at 215.
Defending champion Elizabeth Janangelo of West Hartford, Conn., shot a three-under 68 Thursday to win the AJGA Girls’ National title at DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Del.
