Free Picnic to Mark Opening of 3 Preschools
The public is invited to a free picnic Sunday to celebrate the opening of three family resource centers and preschools.
Conejo Valley Neighborhoods for Learning is sponsoring the event, to be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Crowley House, 2522 Pleasant Way. A fried chicken lunch, door prizes and jazz entertainment will be provided at no charge.
Neighborhoods for Learning will open preschools for 3-to 5-year-olds at Manzanita, Park Oaks and Conejo elementary schools. Registrations for the fall session will be taken at the picnic. Cost is based on a family’s ability to pay.
Families of young children can also receive free or low-cost counseling, health care and other supportive services at resource centers at the preschools.
