Council Extends Deadline for Permit Fees

The Los Angeles City Council voted final approval Friday to a three-month delay in the Dec. 31 deadline for some businesses to pay new, higher fees for police permits.
The deadline was delayed for businesses including pawn shops, tow operators, massage technicians and other police permit holders to allow time for the city to review whether fee increases of more than 1,000% in some cases are justified.
