Judge Upholds Fees for Sanitation Connections

Share

A judge ruled this week that the Orange County Sanitation District is not violating state laws by charging new developments a fee to connect to its system.

Crow Winthrop Development Limited Partnership had accused the district of violating Proposition 218, which requires new tax levies to be approved by those affected.

The developer will pay more than $1 million to connect Park Place in Irvine to the district’s sewer system.
