Man, 85, Succumbs to Hit-and-Run Injuries

An 85-year-old man injured in a Santa Ana hit-and-run accident three days before Christmas has died of his injuries.
Salvador Hernandez of Santa Ana was pronounced dead at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana at 11 p.m. Friday, said county coroner’s spokesman Bruce Lyle.
Hernandez was injured about 2 a.m. Dec. 22 as he crossed Standard Avenue at Wilshire Avenue, said Santa Ana Police Sgt. Ken Ice.
The driver remains at large. Investigators have no description of the driver or the vehicle, Ice said.
