2 Men Are Found Dead in Garage After Fire
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
The bodies of two men were discovered after firefighters put out a fire Sunday inside a converted garage at a home, authorities said.
The fire started when combustible materials near a heater caught fire in the garage just before 3:30 a.m., Bob Collis of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The garage on the 700 block of East 33rd Street was used as a bedroom, where the two men, ages 21 and 19, were sleeping, he said.
The names of the victims were not released pending notification of relatives.
