The Beautiful Game? That’s in Eye of Beholder

I can’t help but notice how the content of The Times Sports page has changed. This week has featured the soccer “Daily Report” each day, filled with news totally uninteresting to 99% of your readers. Today [July 11], for example, were such blockbuster items as “The Greek club AEK has signed a second player from Costa Rica’s World Cup team” and “Barcelona has signed Argentine midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme from Boca Juniors.”

Who cares about this? Certainly not American readers who are deprived of local sports by your obsession with soccer or political correctness. Get real! Your readers have no interest in the WNBA, MLS, WUSA, etc. It’s a waste of vital space to continue to cover these “sports” that nobody cares about!
