Liquor Store Owner Is Shot to Death

A 43-year-old liquor store owner was fatally shot during an apparent holdup, authorities said.
Ton Yi was shot several times about 1 p.m. Friday at Avenue Liquor in the 13300 block of Inglewood Avenue in unincorporated Hawthorne, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Lendman.
Authorities had no suspect description. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call detectives at (323) 890-5500.
