D.A. Ends Probe of Trustee’s Residence
Citing insufficient evidence, the Orange County district attorney’s office has dropped its investigation into allegations that school board Trustee Don Garcia does not live in the elementary school district he serves.
Resident Duane Roberts last year accused Garcia of living in a mansion in Corona del Mar rather than the Anaheim house he listed as his address in campaign filings.
Senior Deputy Dist. Atty. Raymond Armstrong said Thursday that, though there was strong evidence that Garcia lives primarily in Corona del Mar, the trustee also maintains a home in Anaheim.
Garcia was elected to the board of the Anaheim City School District in 2000.
