Suspect in Bludgeoning Death Is Arrested
Police said Wednesday that they have arrested a suspect in the bludgeoning death of a machinist last year.
Carlos Ceron, 30, was arrested Tuesday in Hemet, where he was living under an alias, officials said.
He faces charges in the death of Luis Vega, 47, who was killed as he was leaving for work Aug. 17.
Vega’s body was found in an alley next to the Tustin apartment complex where he lived with his wife and three children.
Ceron is being held without bail at Orange County Jail because he could be charged with the special circumstance of lying in wait, said Lt. Brent Zicarelli.
Vega’s wife, Palmira Galache, was arrested last month in Arizona and also is a suspect.
